LIGHT partners with several nursing home facilities in the region, providing both medical and non-medical services to the residents. While the medical team is doing clinical assessments and practicing using point-of-care ultrasound, the trained team of community volunteers interacts with the residents and cuts hair, shaves beards, and trims fingernails, all while extending a listening ear and companionship.
